Nature & Outdoors

Research has demonstrated that nature-based therapies not only improve an individuals well-being, but also their health, immune system, symtoms of depression, and anxiety. All the senses are stimulated when we are outdoors. In 2013, Steidle A., Werth L. found that light and air can increase reflection and self-regulation for patients with depression. Nature is also said to increase one's self esteem,  improve motivation, and social interaction.  We are incredibly lucky to live in an environment with such rich beauty in nature. With an outdoor space and a path in my community, nature walks and outdoor play in the yard is often incorporated into our sessions.

Nature holds the key to our

aesthetic, intellectual, cognitive and spiritual satisfaction
